Insanely solid, perfect fit!

My duty weapon is a MK18 Mod0 (M4 w/ 10.3” Barrel) with KAC RIS1 quad rail. When shooting under night vision, it became apparent that the RIS1 drop-in-type rail was allowing for too much wiggle / movement of my laser aiming devices. I chose to upgrade my weapon with the Samson Mfg 7” STAR-C rail. The Samson rail is ROCK SOLID. Swapping out the rails was quick & easy since the Samson rail utilizes the same milspec barrel nut. I just had to carefully cut off the delta-ring assembly. The STAR rail creates a continuous top rail, and is totally free-floated. My lasers DO NOT wiggle anymore!! Rail is beautiful and a perfect fit for any AR platform with carbine-length gas system and A2 FSB.

If you have a mil-spec AR, with a delta ring, this doesn't even require you to remove the FSB, before installation. Installation is easy, and the videos are great. This rail is ROCK SOLID. I used my FIRST one on an upper I added to my issue M4, and this is the ONLY rail, I know of, that is 100% compatible with ALL CURRENT gas piston systems! It also has a bottom rail that, while rock solid, is easily removable to clean under the handguard, or mount an underbarrel device, like a M26 shotgun, or M203 grenade launcher!!!! Has ample QD points, and is reasonably priced. What are you waiting for? BUY IT! I have either STAR or Evolution handguards on ALL of my ARs!!!!!!!

This rail is solid as a rock. It seemed like the bottom was maybe going to be a little loose but after it was tightened properly, you can’t even tell it comes off. Don’t worry about losing the bottom; you’ll need a punch to remove it. I like that. I don’t go for loose rattly things on rifles. This rail is so precisely made, it remains tight to the barrel nut even with the clamp totally removed. There’s a small gap between the rail and upper. Even though a totally monolithic would’ve been awesome, I’m not going to complain TOO much about a cosmetic flaw on a tool. I bridge a carry handle between the upper and rail when I tighten it and wouldn’t hesitate to mount a red dot or something to it. Omega rail has NOTHING on this product.
